Worlds of Connections Co-Investigator and resident network scientist Bilal Khan has developed a software application system to combat the COVID-19 pandemic using contact tracing.
According to Nebraska Today, “a key approach [to establishing a new normal during a pandemic] involves contact tracing, in which public health officials alert anyone potentially exposed to a newly diagnosed patient within the past 14 days, the incubation period for COVID-19.” Dr. Khan is working with NUtech Ventures, the university’s commercialization affiliate, to find a community partner for implementing the software.
